Jacques-Christophe Naudot was a French composer, flautist, and type-setter. Little is known of his early life , but he was married in 1719. Most of his compositions were published in Paris between 1726 and 1740. Naudot is best known for his instrumental works, including his flute concertos, sonatas, and chamber music. He was a contemporary of other French Baroque composers such as Jean-Marie Leclair and Michel Blavet. Despite his talent and achievements, Naudot's reputation as a composer has been somewhat overshadowed by that of Blavet, who was renowned for his virtuosic flute playing. Nonetheless, Naudot's music has received renewed attention in modern times, with some scholars and performers seeking to bring his work to a wider audience.
