Isador Goodman was an Australian classical pianist and composer born in 1909. He was known for his outstanding virtuosity and deeply emotive performances that captured audiences around the world.
Goodman began learning the piano at an early age and quickly showed great talent, winning numerous awards and accolades throughout his youth. He studied under several renowned pianists, including Ignaz Friedman and Percy Grainger, honing his skills and developing his unique style.
In addition to his successful career as a pianist, Goodman was also an accomplished composer. He wrote a number of pieces for piano, including his "Sonatina," which is considered one of his most well-known compositions.
Goodman was also heavily involved in the Australian music scene during his lifetime. He established the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust and was instrumental in bringing many international artists to Australia.
Sadly, Goodman passed away in 1982 at the age of 72, but his legacy as an influential pianist and composer lives on through recordings of his music and performances by artists around the world.
