Frank Ricotti is an English jazz vibraphonist, percussionist and composer, born on January 31, 1949. He is well-known for his musical contributions to television and film soundtracks in the UK. Ricotti has been active in the music industry since the 1960s and has worked with a plethora of notable musicians throughout his career.

Between 1984 and 1987, Ricotti wrote the soundtrack music for the Yorkshire Television's "Beiderbecke Trilogy" in the style of Bix Beiderbecke, which gained him recognition for his remarkable contributions. He has also worked with Harry Gregson-Williams on the soundtrack of Walt Disney's "Chronicles of Narnia" and played on and produced many albums and singles throughout his career. He is considered a versatile and all-round percussionist with a hard-earned reputation that has spanned over several decades.

Notably, he has been a member of the Frank Ricotti Quartet, King Crimson, X-Cess, amongst other bands. Ricotti often collaborates with Hans Zimmer and other composers for film soundtracks. He is regarded as a gifted composer with striking music from several top-notch composers and is played by professionals.

Ricotti is still active in the music industry, and his contributions continue to inspire many musicians around the globe.
