Ferdinand Tobias Richter was an Austrian Baroque composer and organist who was born on July 22 , 1651, in Wrzburg, Electorate of Bavaria, which is now part of Germany. He was known for his music which included operas, oratorios, and Jesuit school plays. Richter's music was known for its dramatic flair and he was considered to be one of the best talents of his time.
Richter wrote music for a number of Jesuit school plays , operas, and oratorios. His work was highly regarded during his time and he was considered to be one of the best composers of his generation. His music was influenced by the Baroque style and his compositions were known for their intricate melodies and use of counterpoint.
Throughout his life, Richter held several positions as an organist and composer and contributed greatly to the development of Baroque music. He died on November 3, 1711, at the age of 60.
