Erno Balogh (1897-1989) was a prominent Hungarian pianist, composer, and writer. He was born as Ernest Barlough, but later changed his name to Erno Balogh. Balogh's father was a violinist, and he himself was trained musically from an early age. He studied piano, composition, and musicianship at the Budapest Franz Liszt Academy of Music. In addition to his studies, Balogh was exposed to a wide range of musical styles during his childhood, including classical, folk, and Gypsy music.

Balogh was an accomplished pianist and performed extensively both as a soloist and chamber musician. He also wrote works for piano, as well as for larger ensembles, such as string quartets and symphonies.
