Puchi Balseiro was a Puerto Rican composer and arranger, born on August 5, 1934, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He was widely regarded as a prolific and talented composer within the Latin music scene. Balseiro was a self-taught musician, and his passion for music developed at a very early age.

Balseiro was particularly interested in folk music, and he incorporated many elements of Puerto Rican folk music into his work. Additionally, he was heavily influenced by the sounds of jazz and salsa music, which he expertly blended with his native Puerto Rican rhythms.

Balseiro was a versatile musician and wrote in a range of styles, from romantic ballads to high-energy salsa tracks. He is perhaps best known for his work with salsa legend Willie Rosario, who charted a number of Balseiro's compositions during the height of his career, including "Bueno, Pero No Te Enamores" and "Que Lindo Es Puerto Rico."

Balseiro's music was well-received both in Puerto Rico and internationally, and he was widely regarded as a key figure in the development of the salsa music genre.

Balseiro died in 2011 at the age of 77, leaving behind a legacy of music that continues to inspire and influence Latin music to this day.
