Blaž Arni (31 January 1901 – 1 February 1970) was a Slovenian composer , born in the town of Formin, in the region of Kras, located in present-day Slovenia. He studied music in Ljubljana and then in Dresden, Germany. His works include symphonies, chamber and choral pieces, lieder and music for film. During his career, he was awarded multiple prizes and recognitions for his contributions to Slovenian music.

Arni was a prominent figure in the Slovenian music scene during the 20th century. He composed a number of symphonies, which were all well received by the public and critics alike. His compositions often featured elements of traditional Slovenian music, including folk melodies and rhythms.

In addition to his symphonies, Arni also composed a number of pieces for chamber ensembles and choirs. His ability to create works for a variety of instruments and ensembles helped establish him as one of the most versatile composers of his time.
