Antonio de Salazar (c.1650-1715) was a Novohispano (Mexican) composer who was born in Puebla de los Ángeles ), Mexico. He was a choir master of the Puebla Cathedral in 1679 and later became the master of the chapel at the Cathedral of Mexico. Salazar was known for his villancicos, which were popular Spanish and Latin American songs in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Salazar's works included both religious and secular music. Some of his most famous compositions were villancicos, which were popular in New Spain (colonial Mexico) in the 17th century. Some of his villancicos had texts written by Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, a famous Mexican writer and poetess. Salazar's O sacrum convivium was also highly regarded for its beauty and complexity.

Salazar's music was a combination of European and Mexican influences, reflecting the cultural and artistic exchange that occurred during the colonial period. His works were highly regarded during his lifetime and continue to be performed and studied today.
