Full biography Andreas Hofer
Andreas Hofer was not a composer but rather a Tyrolean innkeeper, drover, and leader of the Tyrolean Rebellion against the revolutionary Napoleonic invasion during the War of the Fifth Coalition. There are some references to an Andreas Hofer who was a composer in the 17th century, but it is unlikely that this is the same person due to the significant time difference between their respective lifetimes.
