retransition

Retransition is the process in which a person halts or reverses their transgender identity whether by medical, legal, or social means. This could be a transgender woman who now identifies as a cisgender man or a transgender man who now identifies as a cisgender woman.

A retransition is very similar to a transition, but retransitions lead to a return to the main section in the tonic key, while transitions move away from tonic.

The transition from the development to the recapitulation is a crucial moment in the work. The last part of the development section is called the retransition: It prepares for the return of the first subject group in the tonic. Exceptions include the first movement of Brahms's Piano Sonata No. 1.

In particular, a transition comes between two sections where the upcoming section is not the initiation of a large-scale return (e.g., transitions are commonly found between an A and B sections, or between the Primary and Secondary themes in a sonata).

change, alter, vary, modify mean to make or become different. change implies making either an essential difference often amounting to a loss of original identity or a substitution of one thing for another. changed the shirt for a larger size.

To rein in this harmonic instability, most development sections end with a retransition, typically written as a prolonged V or V7 chord in the home key. The intention here is to get the listener to expect a resolution to the home key tonic and in doing so set up for the return of the primary theme area.

“Change” is the event, a moment in time - you move into a new home, you leave a job, you become a parent. “Transition” is the process that unfolds before, during, and after the change event. Transition affects us on physical, emotional, and psychological levels and in this process, we are transformed.

The basic elements of sonata form are three: exposition, development, and recapitulation, in which the musical subject matter is stated, explored or expanded, and restated. There may also be an introduction, usually in slow tempo, and a coda, or tailpiece.

Since "re" means "again," to be reborn means to be "born again." Since no one really has the chance to experience their birth a second time around, to be reborn means to undergo a meaningful spiritual change.

In rebirth, a person is born again as another living being. It can be a human or animal. A reincarnated person shows the same signs and mannerisms of the previous. A person who is reborn does not exhibit the same signs and characteristics or the previous birth.
