Princess Anna Amalia of Prussia was a renowned composer and musician, born in Berlin, Prussia in the year 1723. She was the daughter of Frederick William I of Prussia and Sophia Dorothea of Hanover, and the sister of Frederick II of Prussia, also known as Frederick the Great.

Anna Amalia showed a keen interest in music from a young age. She received a thorough education in music theory, counterpoint, and harmony, and soon began to excel as a musician. As she grew older, Anna Amalia developed a love for composing, and she wrote numerous pieces of music throughout her life.
