Martin "Marty" O'Donnell is an American composer known for his work on musical pieces for video games from Bungie Studios , such as the Halo and Destiny franchises. He was born on May 1, 1955, in California and studied at Pasadena City College and the University of Southern California. O'Donnell began his career writing music for advertisements, including the famous Flintstones Vitamins jingle.
He joined Bungie Studios in 1997 as the company's audio director and became known for his work on the Halo series. O'Donnell's music received widespread critical acclaim and helped to define the sound of the franchise. He also worked on the music for the first two games in the Destiny franchise.
In addition to his work on video games, O'Donnell has composed music for film and television. He has won numerous awards for his work, including several for his work on Halo. In 2014, he founded his own company, Marty O'Donnell Music, LLC.
