Martin Lohse is a Danish composer who was born in 1971. He is known for his music that explores different genres and techniques, including electroacoustic music and contemporary classical music. Lohse has written a large number of works for various instruments, including solo works and concertos.
One of Lohse's notable works is "Echoes off Cliffs", an electroacoustic tribute to the Danish painter Per Kirkeby, which was premiered in 2021. The composition features sounds of Kirkeby's paintings being struck with mallets, recorded and manipulated by Lohse. Another work of Lohse is "Menuetto" which is a solo accordion piece composed in 2008/2014.
Lohse has collaborated with several renowned artists and ensembles, including Danish accordionist Bjarke Mogensen and the Danish National Chamber Orchestra , and has been performed worldwide by international ensembles and musicians.
