Luigi Castellacci (1797-1845) was an Italian composer and virtuoso of the guitar and mandolin, who was active during the Early Romantic Era. Castellacci was noted for his technical skill and use of ornamentation in his compositions. His guitar music was popular during his lifetime and his Complete Method for the Guitar, published in 1821, was widely used as a teaching tool.

In addition to being a composer, Castellacci was also a performer and toured Europe extensively, giving concerts and performing for royalty. He was known for his ability to improvise and would often perform his own cadenzas during concerts.

Castellacci's works for guitar and mandolin include solo pieces, duets, and chamber music. His compositions are characterized by their virtuosic writing and use of traditional Italian melodies and folk tunes. Some of his most well-known works for guitar include the Grand Sonata in E minor and the Variations on a Neapolitan Song.

Castellacci also wrote for other instruments, including the violin, and some of his chamber music compositions include string quartets and quintets.

Despite his success during his lifetime, Castellacci's music fell out of favor after his death. However, in recent years there has been renewed interest in his works and recordings of his music can be found online.
