Full biography Lambert Chaumont
Lambert Chaumont was a Flemish Baroque composer and organist who lived from around 1630 to April 1712. He is known for his organ solo music, particularly his work "Pieces d'orgue", which was committed to writing by him. In terms of his life, little is known beyond his musical contributions. He was likely active in the city of Liege, as he is often associated with the city's musical tradition. Chaumont's music is a representation of the Baroque period, and his works were composed for the organ, a popular instrument during his time. Some examples of other Belgian composers of his era include Abraham van den Kerckhoven , Joseph Callaerts, Edgar Tinel, and August de Boeck. Although Chaumont's music was not widely known during his lifetime, it is now recognized as a significant contribution to the Baroque period.
