Jose de Torres (ca. 1670-1738) was a Spanish composer and organist who lived during the Baroque era. He was born in Seville and received his musical education at the Cathedral of Seville where he served as the organist. Torres was known for his virtuosity on the keyboard, particularly the organ, and was praised for his ability to improvise.

Torres went on to become an important figure in the Spanish Court, serving as court organist and director of the Royal Chapel in Madrid. He composed numerous works for the Royal Chapel, including Masses, hymns, and other liturgical music. He also composed operas, zarzuelas, and instrumental music, reflecting his versatility as a composer.
