John Keeble (1711 - 1786) was an English composer and organist, as well as a writer on music. He was born in Chichester and served as a chorister at the cathedral there. He went on to hold several positions as an organist, including at St. Mary's Church in Nottingham and St. Peter's Church in Derby.
Keeble was known for his contributions to decorative writing in the Rococo style , and his works included pieces for the organ as well as choral music. Some of his notable works include "The Tempest Suite" and "Six Voluntaries for the Organ."
Despite his contributions to music, Keeble's life outside of music is relatively unknown. However, he remains an important figure in the history of English music, having influenced many composers who came after him.
