Johannes Brassart (c. 1400 – before 22 October 1455) was a French composer of the Burgundian school during the early Renaissance period. Most of his output consisted of sacred vocal music, with only a few secular pieces surviving. Brassart served in or for Liege, the Council of Basle, Albert II, Frederick III, and Tongres at various points in his career.

Although some of his works survive, very little is known about Brassart's life and career. The primary source for his repertoire is the Aosta codex, which contains a number of his compositions, including five three-voice motets and four-voice motets. His music is characterized by rich harmonies and sophisticated polyphony, and his compositions were widely popular during his lifetime.

Brassart's name appears in many different forms in both musical and archival documents , but the customary form is "Johannes Brassart." His work represented an important contribution to the musical tradition of the Burgundian school , which was known for its complex and harmonically rich compositions.

Overall, Johannes Brassart was a notable figure in the early Renaissance period and his compositions remain an important part of the western classical music canon.
