Jean Braconnier, also known as "Braconnier dit Lourdault," was a French singer and composer of the Renaissance. He died just before January 22, 1512, and little of his music has survived to the present day. However, Braconnier had a considerable reputation as a singer, and Guillaume Crtin even wrote an elegy on his death.

In 1512, a poem of nineteen ten-line stanzas in iambic pentameter was written in memory of Braconnier , who was a court singer at the time. He was also mentioned in a biography of Antoine de Fevin, which highlighted some facts connected with Braconnier's life.

Despite the lack of surviving musical works, Braconnier's legacy as a singer and composer of the Renaissance endures. His contributions to the period's musical landscape remain an important part of the history of music in France.
