Stuck started his music career in his hometown, Naples, and later worked in Florence, Venice, and Rome before settling in Paris in 1702.

In Paris, Stuck worked as a musician in the service of Countess Lemos. He eventually became known for his talents as a cellist and composer, and he performed his own works in front of King Louis XV and other members of the French court.
