Full biography Ignaz Assmayer
Ignaz Assmayer (11 February 1790 – 31 August 1862) was an Austrian composer of liturgical music. He was born in Salzburg, Austria, and began his music education at a young age, studying with his father, a music teacher, and the organist at Salzburg Cathedral. He later studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, where he became friends with Franz Schubert.
