Graham Waterhouse is an English composer and cellist, born on November 2, 1962. He is known for his talent in composing chamber music and has written a cello concerto, Three Pieces for Solo Cello, and Praeludium for piano. He started composing music for his instrument, the cello, and later moved on to composing music for different ensembles. He has been drawn to chamber music and his works are characterized by a melodious and polished style.

Waterhouse is also a cellist and has dedicated some of his works to fellow cellists. Three Pieces for Solo Cello, for example, was dedicated to cellist Siegfried Palm in 1992. He is known for astringent and cogent musical arguments in his works, especially in his composition, Incantations.

Waterhouse has a diverse range of works that includes Emerald Spring, which he composed in response to a poem, and a musical evocation of a trip up the Bright Angel trail (Grand Canyon) in the William Waterhouse Memorial Concert. He has also written settings for Friedrich Schiller's ballad for cello and speaking voice in Der Handschuh (The Glove).

Although he has spent the last few decades living between Germany and the UK ), Waterhouse went to Highgate School in London and considers himself a Highgate-raised composer. His works have been published by Lienau and Schott music, and he has received commissions from the Ensemble Kontrapunkte, among others. Graham Waterhouse is a talented composer whose works have been well received in the classical music world.
