Graeme Koehne is a highly regarded Australian composer who was born in 1956 in Adelaide, South Australia. He is known for his unique style, which draws from a range of musical influences and is characterized by its individualism and expressive power.

One of Koehne's most significant contributions to contemporary music is his involvement in the Gallipoli Symphony, a 10-year project commissioned to commemorate the centenary of the Gallipoli campaign during World War I.
