Giuseppe Maria Orlandini was an Italian composer born in 1676 in Florence, Italy. He was a prominent composer and musician during the Baroque era, known for his prolific output of operas and solo vocal compositions.

Orlandini's first major success came in 1702 with his opera Nerone, which was performed in Rome at the Teatro del Capranica. This success led to him being commissioned to write further operas in Italy and abroad, including in London and Vienna.

Orlandini's music was influential in the development of the Baroque genre, and his operatic works were noted for their lyrical and dramatic qualities. He was also highly regarded for his vocal writing, which showcased the virtuosic abilities of singers of his time.

Despite his success, Orlandini's music fell out of popularity in the 18th century and much of his work has been lost. However, recent research has led to rediscoveries of some of his operatic works and his contributions to Baroque music have been recognized.
