Giuseppe Demachi was an Italian composer and violinist who lived from approximately 1732 to 1791. He was born in Bologna, Italy and is known for his chamber music, particularly his sonatas for violin and continuo. Little is known about Demachi's early life or musical training, but he was active in Rome in the mid-18th century. He later worked in Dresden, where he was a member of the court orchestra. He also spent time in London, where he likely met Johann Christian Bach and other composers of the time.
