Frederick Bianchi is an American composer and music technologist. He was born in 1954 and is a professor of music at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. Bianchi is known for his contemporary compositions and has had his works performed in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is a co-founder of the Electric Guitar Innovation Lab at WPI, where he works with a team of researchers and musicians to develop new technologies and techniques for playing the guitar.

Bianchi has written concertos, operas, and chamber music works, and he has received commissions from a number of ensembles and organizations. One of his best-known works is "Rauschenberg Variations," which has been performed by several orchestras, including the Orchestra of Young Players. The piece is known for its amorphous structure and has been described as both challenging and rewarding for performers.

In addition to his work as a composer, Bianchi has also been involved in music education and research. He has published articles on music technology and has given lectures and workshops on a variety of topics related to music and technology. Bianchi holds a bachelor's degree in music education from West Chester University, a master's degree in music composition from Temple University, and a doctorate in composition from Columbia University.
