Full biography Francesco Rovigo
Francesco Rovigo was an Italian composer and organist who lived during the late Renaissance period. He was active in Mantua and Graz, and lived from about 1540/1541 until his death on October 7th, 1597. Rovigo is known for his contributions to music during the Renaissance, particularly his work for organ. While he is not as well-known as some of his contemporaries, his compositions have been studied and performed by modern musicians and scholars. Interestingly, he shares a name with the city of Rovigo, which is his birthplace, although he did not have any particular association with the city in his musical career.
