Felix William Bernard was an American composer, pianist, and conductor of popular music. He was born on April 28, 1897, in Brooklyn, New York, and passed away on October 20, 1944.

Bernard was well-known for writing a number of popular songs during his career, including "Winter Wonderland" which has become a Christmas classic. He wrote the music for the song while his friend Richard B. Smith provided the lyrics. Additionally, he composed music for various artists such as Al Jolson, Nora Bayes, Eddie Cantor, and Marilyn Miller.

Apart from being a composer, Bernard was also a skilled conductor and pianist. He toured the United States for the Orpheum and Keith Vaudeville Circuits , and also performed abroad. In addition to "Winter Wonderland," Bernard's other notable compositions include "Dardanella," which was a popular jazz tune during the 1910s and 1920s.
