Ciarn Farrell is an Irish composer born in Dublin in 1969. He graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1997 and has been active in his field ever since. Farrell is known for his contemporary compositions, which often incorporate elements of jazz and traditional music.
Farrell has received praise from industry professionals, including Andre Singer, the Managing Director of Cafe Productions, who wrote of Farrell's work upon completion of a project. Farrell is a sought-after composer and has composed works for a variety of instruments, including the guitar and the flute. He has also premiered many new works by other composers.
Farrell is a co-founder of Opium Jazz, an organization he started in 2018 to promote contemporary music. He has collaborated with many talented musicians over the years, including Damien Kelly, with whom he formed the Farrell Kelly collaboration.
