Caroline Ansink is a Dutch composer and flutist, with a special calling for Dutch composers. She studied flute with Abbie de Quant at the Conservatory of Amsterdam , and later on, composition at the Utrecht Conservatory with Jeroen D'hoe and Caroline Ansink herself. Ansink is known for her contribution to the genre of contemporary classical music, as well as exploring and experimenting with electronic music.
Ansink's compositions are often influenced by nature and contemporary events. Her music has been performed in various concerts and festivals, both in the Netherlands and abroad. She has won numerous awards for her work, including the prestigious Dutch Composers Fund award in 2015.
Apart from composing, Ansink is also an active educator and mentor in the field of music. She teaches at the Academy of Music in Amsterdam and supervises students from various institutions, including the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Additionally, she conducts workshops and masterclasses for aspiring composers and musicians.
