Bozidar Kantuser was a Slovenian composer who is best known for his compositions for choir and orchestra. Born on February 22, 1904 in the village of Podreber, Kantuser began his musical education young. He attended the Ljubljana Music Academy where he studied under the guidance of some of the best known Slovenian musicians of that time.

Kantuser dedicated most of his career to choral music, writing many pieces for the Slovenian folk songs. His compositions were often inspired by his love of nature and the mountains, which he frequently visited for inspiration.

Kantuser's works remain popular today, and are considered an important part of Slovenian musical heritage. One of his most famous pieces, "The Cherry Tree," is often performed in choral concerts and competitions both within Slovenia and abroad.
