Ayoob Tarish was a Yemeni composer, singer, and musician born in 1942. He was known for his nationalist songs which were sung by both supporters of the government and the opposition during the Yemeni civil war. Ayoob Tarish was also the composer of Yemen's national anthem. His songs were popular among the Yemeni people and served as a reminder of their cultural identity. He was a fan of the late musician Mohammed Abdulwahhab and used to imitate his songs.
