Andrew Schultz is an Australian composer and arranger who was born in Adelaide and grew up in regional South Australia. He is currently a professor of music at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and has been awarded numerous prestigious commissions throughout his career.

Schultz has worked with a variety of musical genres and forms over his career, including orchestral music, opera, chamber music, and solo instrumental works. He is also well-known for his collaborations with other composers and performers. For example, he invited several Australian composers to write solo works for him, taking as their starting point the instrument-defining work Sequenza XII for solo.

One of Schultz's most notable works is Symphony no.3 "Century," which was commissioned for the Centenary of Canberra in 2013. This large-scale work is actually two pieces, with the first focusing on the struggles of the 20th century and the second offering a more hopeful and optimistic perspective on the future.
