Andrew Schultz is an Australian composer and arranger who was born in Adelaide and grew up in regional South Australia. He is currently a professor of music at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and has been awarded numerous prestigious commissions throughout his career.

Schultz has worked with a variety of musical genres and forms over his career, including orchestral music, opera, chamber music, and solo instrumental works. He is also well-known for his collaborations with other composers and performers. For example, he invited several Australian composers to write solo works for him, taking as their starting point the instrument-defining work Sequenza XII for solo.

One of Schultz's most notable works is Symphony no.3 "Century," which was commissioned for the Centenary of Canberra in 2013. This large-scale work is actually two pieces, with the first focusing on the struggles of the 20th century and the second offering a more hopeful and optimistic perspective on the future. Schultz has also created several other symphonies and orchestral works, as well as several operas and choral works.

Schultz has received many awards and nominations for his work, including the Jean Bogan Prize for Piano Composition and the Albert H. Maggs Composition Award. In addition to his work as a composer and arranger, Schultz has also worked as a professor of music and inspired numerous students to pursue careers in music.
