Wladyslaw Zelenski (1837-1924) was a Polish composer, pianist, and teacher. He was born in Grodkowice and studied music from an early age. After his studies in Vienna, he returned to Poland and had a successful career as a concert pianist, teacher, and composer. Zelenski held several important teaching positions , including Director of the Music Institute in Warsaw. He was also the father of physician and writer Tadeusz Boy-eleski.

Zelenski composed in a variety of genres , including operas, chamber music, orchestral works, and songs. His music is generally conservative, composed in classical forms with tonal harmony. His works often showcase his virtuosic piano writing, which is described as "muscular and full of urgent power." Some of his notable compositions include the Piano Trio in E Major , Op. 22, and the Piano Quartet in C minor , Op. 61.

Despite his contributions to Polish music, Zelenski is relatively unknown outside of Poland and is considered one of the "underrated Romantic composers." Nevertheless, his music continues to be performed and recorded by contemporary musicians, and is admired for its technical brilliance and emotional depth.
