Vincenzo Righini was an Italian composer, singer, and kapellmeister who lived between 1756 and 1812. He was born on January 22, 1756, and died on August 19, 1812. Righini was renowned for his compositions and vocal abilities, particularly in opera buffa. He was also a gifted pianist and teacher.

Righini began his music education with his father, a musician in the band of the Duchy of Parma. He later attended the Conservatory of San Giovanni in Persiceto, where he studied composition, singing, and piano. After completing his studies, Righini began working as a composer and soon became well-known for his theatrical works.

Over the course of his career, Righini wrote more than 40 operas, as well as a large number of chamber works, songs, and sacred music pieces. Some of his most famous operas include "Il convito", "La solitaria delle Asturie", and "Il matrimonio per inganno".

In addition to his composing, Righini was also a prolific singer and performed in many of his own operas. He was particularly well-regarded for his performances in comedic roles.
