Pasatieri began writing operas while studying at the Manhattan School of Music, where he was a protégé of renowned composer Vittorio Giannini.
Pasatieri's operas have been performed at major opera houses throughout the United States, including the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Opera, and the San Francisco Opera. His most well-known operas include "The Trysting Place," "Black Widow," and "Frau Margot."
In addition to his work in opera, Pasatieri has also composed for film scores, including the music for the movie "Jack," starring Robin Williams. His work has received critical acclaim, and he has been praised for his accessibility as a composer.
