Theo Bruins was a Dutch composer and concert pianist born on November 25, 1929. He is best known for his work in contemporary classical music and has composed a number of notable pieces, including "Sei Studi" and "Syncope."

He went on to study at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where he received a degree in piano performance.
