Robert Parsons was an English composer who lived during the Tudor period, and was active during the reigns of King Edward VI and Queen Mary I. He was William Byrd's immediate predecessor at the Chapel Royal.

Parsons' music is primarily vocal, and he is known for composing Latin motets, as well as other sacred music. Some of his most well-known compositions include his setting of the Ave Maria and his First Service. His vocal writing is highly regarded for its expressive qualities and dramatic intensity.
