He studied under the tutelage of great composers such as Enric Morera and Joaquim Serra, acquiring a solid foundation in music theory and composition.
Throughout his career, Lamote de Grignon composed music for various genres, including orchestras, chamber music, and solo works. He also wrote music for several films, collaborating with directors such as Luis Bunuel and Edgar Neville.
One of his most celebrated works is the opera "El Mozo de Mulero," which premiered in 1929, and was praised for its innovative approach to the traditional Spanish opera form. Another notable work is his "Sardanes en Sol" for cobla, a traditional music ensemble in Catalonia.
