Reginald Redman was a British composer and musician, known for his contributions to jazz and classical music. He was born in 1915 and died in 1994. Redman studied composition at the Royal Academy of Music in London and later worked as a composer, arranger, and conductor for the BBC. He also worked as a film composer and was active in the British jazz scene.

Redman is perhaps best known for his West Country Suite, which was composed for brass band in 1945 and has since become a staple of the brass band repertoire. He also composed a number of other works for brass band, including Marston Court and the Golden Hour Suite. In addition to his work in brass bands, Redman also composed music for classical ensembles, including a string quartet, and for film and television.

Redman's contributions to jazz music earned him recognition as well. In addition to performing as a jazz pianist, he also composed and arranged jazz pieces for various ensembles, including his own jazz band, the Reginald Redman Quintet. He was the author of the textbook Jazz Arranging for Beginners, which was published in 1960.
