During the pandemic, the ensemblebash, in association with Peter McGarr, planned to collaborate and have him write them a piece. In ensemblebash's Twitter handle, they shared that McGarr wrote them a piece over lockdown, which featured Laughing Bag, Banjo, iPhone, and electric juicer, among other things.

McGarr's works have been featured in various festivals and concerts. The Tallis Festival, which is dedicated to the works of Thomas Tallis, showcased a love song by McGarr, titled 'a Lindisfarne Love Song.'
