Michael McGlynn is an Irish composer , producer, and director who was born on May 11, 1964. He is best known for his work as the founder of the vocal ensemble ANÚNA and as a writer of choral music. He has also directed and produced a number of ANÚNA’s music videos and stage productions. Although he is primarily known for his choral compositions, he has also written music for film, television and theatre. McGlynn’s work has been performed by some of the most prestigious choirs and ensembles around the world. He has been interviewed for various publications about his work including The Irish Times where he was described as a professional composer of choral music , which has allowed him to write for some of the finest choirs in the world. McGlynn is a respected figure in the world of contemporary choral music and continues to create innovative and eclectic works that draw on a range of influences, including medieval music and traditional Irish music.
