Nicholas Sackman is an English classical composer born on April 12, 1950. He has been commissioned, along with 100 other British composers , to write a song. Dr. Sackman is also a writer and a publisher. He is known for his compositions for chamber, orchestral, vocal and solo works. Some of his compositions include Simplicia, DIVERGENCE, and his chamber, orchestral, vocal and solo works. Sackman has also translated the surviving letters of Sarasate into English for the first time with Bastien Terraz. He has been featured in Divine Art Recordings and has collaborated with other composers such as Scott Michal and William Thomas McKinley. Sackman has written on the famous Candenza for the Beethoven violin concerto, which he got from his master John Tiplady Carrodus.
