Maura Bosch is an American composer and writer who was born in 1956. She started composing at an early age and went on to study at the Hartt School and Princeton. She has created several operas, including one with her own libretto. Her works have been premiered by the likes of Chor Leoni and The Leonids, and she has also contributed to Graphite Publishing. Maura is known for her hauntingly beautiful compositions, including her three-movement work, The Turning. This piece was commissioned in conjunction with the American Composers Forum and has been described as a "quiet masterpiece." Maura's musical influences are not well-known , but she has cited Bob Dylan as a source of inspiration for her work. In addition to her musical pursuits, Maura has also worked as a records management specialist for the government of Alberta.
