Marton Illes is a Hungarian composer and pianist born on December 12, 1975, in Budapest. He is known for his works in various genres, including orchestral, chamber, and vocal music. Illes started his musical education at a young age, and he received his diploma in composition from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest.

Throughout his career, Illes has composed numerous works that have been performed by renowned ensembles and orchestras around the world. He has been the recipient of several awards, including the Artisjus Prize and the Franco Donatoni International Composition Prize.

Some of his notable works include "EZ-tr" for large orchestra, "HR-tr III" for string quartet, and "N-Kr III," which was premiered at the 2020 Budapest Spring Festival. Illes's music is often characterized by its intense emotional expressiveness and its use of unconventional tonal structures.
