Martinus Fabri was a well-known Flemish composer and music theorist who lived during the Renaissance period. Fabri was born in Bruges, Belgium in around 1430 and spent much of his life working in various cities across Europe including Paris, Basel, and Rome.

Fabri's music was highly regarded during his lifetime, with his compositions described as both intricate and beautiful. He was well-known for his religious music, particularly his choral works, which were often performed in churches across Europe.

In addition to his compositions, Fabri was also a respected music theorist. He wrote several treatises on music theory, including "Enchiridion musices", which was a popular textbook on music in the Renaissance period. Fabri's treatises focused on the technique and style of composing music, as well as the importance of mathematical principles in music.

Despite his success as a composer and theorist, little is known about Fabri's personal life. It is thought that he may have spent much of his life working for the Church, as his music was often performed during religious services. He died in Paris in around 1504.

Today, Martinus Fabri's music continues to be performed by choirs and orchestras around the world. His contributions to music theory have also had a lasting impact, with many of his ideas still studied and applied by composers and musicians today.
