Full biography Martin Mailman
Martin Mailman (1932-2000) was a respected American composer and educator. He was born in New York and received his musical training at the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with Bernard Rogers. Mailman spent most of his career teaching music theory and composition, serving as Composer in Residence and Regents Professor of Music at the University of North Texas. He also taught at the University of Oklahoma.
