He studied composition at Paris Conservatory and also holds a degree in film music from Gothenburg University. Mansoor has a distinct style of composition, often using a system of improvisation in some of his pieces, with different notations to encourage the musician to improvise.
Mansoor has collaborated with various artists and has performed his compositions in numerous venues and festivals around the world. His works have been premiered by artists such as Philippe Spiesser, Bruno Letort, Arturo Corrales, and the Oberon Trio.
