Lucile-Anglique-Dorothe-Louise Grtry, also known as Lucile Grtry, was a French composer born on July 15, 1772, in Paris, France. She was the daughter of the famous composer Andr-Ernest-Modeste Grtry. Even though she had a short life, as she died at the age of 18 in March 1790, she made significant contributions to the world of music during her lifetime.

Lucile Grtry's most notable compositions were two operas comiques that she wrote for the Comdie-Italienne theatre. Her first opera, "Le mariage d'Antonio," was a sequel to her father's famous "Richard Coeur-de-lion" and showed her exceptional talent as a composer, given that she wrote it when she was only 14 years old in 1786. The second opera, "Lucile," was based on a libretto by Jean-Franois Marmontel and premiered in 1788.

Apart from being a talented composer, Lucile Grtry was also a skilled performer. She was an accomplished harpsichordist and singer and performed regularly in salons throughout Paris. Her music was well-received during her time, and she became famous for her unique style of composition.
