Kristi Allik is a Canadian composer and music educator known for her innovative and expressive electronic music. She was born in Toronto in 1952 and received her early musical training at the Royal Conservatory of Music. She later studied music composition at the University of Toronto and completed her Master's degree at McGill University.
Throughout her career, Kristi Allik has been recognized for her unique and experimental approach to composition. Her works often blend traditional instrumental music with electronic sounds and effects, creating a unique and captivating listening experience.
Allik's compositions have been performed by leading Canadian orchestras and ensembles, including the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Canadian Opera Company, and the Esprit Orchestra. Many of her works, such as "Arctic Dreamscape" and "Modulations to 33", have also been recorded and released on CD.
